Let us Learn founder Chrisann Jarrett spoke about young migrants denied access to university at two events this week: the Mulberry School for Girls annual youth conference and the NUS conference on international student issues in Milton Keynes.
After a lively discussion at both events, Chrisann had this to say:
“Wow, what a week. Two amazing events. It has been a pleasure to discuss these issues with other young people and reassuring that they have been just as passionate about equal access to education as are we. If we are going to make change, we need all young people to back the campaign”.
The Let us Learn message also spread all the way to Swansea at the Mess up the Mess youth campaigning residential trip. Young local campaigners were troubled to learn about the plight of young migrants deined access to higher education but used Chrisann’s story and work as inspiration for their own brilliant social action projects.Thank you for having us and good luck with your campaigns!
